Can somebody please tell me a place to buy the canopy thingy at the back. I am looking for a sports canopy or a stylish full canopy. [ with a convexed back glass] What is available at the elcardo is rubbish.

By the way I love my cab. No more slowing on pot holes, drive like like a maniac and everybody gives way!

which category do you fall to VVIP, Fake VVIP, Trucks or Buses ???? you might want to invest in a roll cage instead of a canopy chances are you might need it more in the future than you think if you drive like that

Ahem.... for your information, cab / double cab / pick-up / ute, whatever you call them, they were not conceived, designed or built to go very fast or handle well. Most of them have somewhat agricultural suspension to suit the purpose they were built for, the center of gravity is way up and unless you carry a load in the back, the weight distribution is horrible. So for the benefit of that poor family on a small motorcycle who could potentially be in your path when you relaize that your cab is not going to take the corner at speed as you intended, please take it easy or if you really wanna drive fast, invest on vehicle which was designed and built to go fast. As someone else has replied above you may want to check a carryboy canopy at ward place. The quality difference between carryboy and Alpha is not that much though. So as per your standards if Alpha is crap so would carryboy be.

Anyway last weekend I saw a place near Kurunegala along Ambepussa-Kurunegala road which had plenty of double cab lorry beds and canopies (used ones). This is on to your left hand side when you go towards Kurunegala, you won't miss it. You may check there since they may have some domestic brands which are better in quality but you may have problems in sourcing parts if required. For example, replacement of the keylock of SnugTop canopy could cost about Rs 24,000/- including airfreight charges since the parts are not available in Sri Lanka.

BTW why dont you delete your comments about how you drive? That is all not important to us.

'knightowl': Could you kindly post a description of your pick-up / cab / truck or better still post a picture; so I can recognize it, and head in the opposite direction as soon as I spot it...Just joking, as I'm sure you were too
