T Belt (Allion 240)

I recently purchased an Allion 240 model. Milage is almost 100,000Km(99000+). Could please anyone advice me on followings.

1. what's the Milage range to change T belt?(I heard it as in every 100,000kms)

2. Do i need to purchase it from Toyota company or is it available in sparepart market?

3. How much will it cost (T belt+ Racers+ labour)?

1. T-belts should be changed every 100,000Km (ideally you should do it at about 90,000, so change yours immediately)

2. Its safest if you use the genuine Toyota parts. G.S. Auto Panchikawatta has genuine Toyota parts for considerably less than the company price

3. Their numbers are 2344595 or 2394495. Pick up the phone, give them a call and ask. They should be able to give you a rough idea of what the labor cost will be as well.

T-Belt on Allion 240? I heard that there are no t-belts on 240 s. Damn, I may be wrong then...

i think that there's no T belt on allion240.i had corolla 121G with VVT-i 1500cc engine(as same as allion)my mechanical said that theres noT belt for ths model,itz run by a chain,but you should check the alternator belt for any cracks, which is cost nearly 6000/= (the original belt)

There's no Timing belt in Allion. There's a "Timing chain".

I called to G.S. Auto (as Supra-Natural given), and they told that there's no timing belt there in Allion. Timing chain + Racers+ etc.. cost is 30,000/=

And important fact is, no need to change Timing chain periodically (I mean in every 100,000kms).

If there's any sound or any defect occured only, need to pay attention.

According to Kundasale Auto's instructions, While doing a service, timing chain can be checked.

simply you can look at the engine for timing cover If the cover is plastic it has a belt If the cover is metal it has a chain

Your car has a timing chain, not belts. The only reason to change it would be if it fails the inspection for stretching or damaged links.

1NZ-FE, can't beat it. My Vios has the same engine, and performance isn't bad considering the car weighs only 1030kg. I suspect the Thai engineers realized this too, since they managed to cut costs nearly everywhere, yet they decided on fitting rear disc brakes.

I have no idea. I have yet to do a full service on my car, I'm waiting till I hit 75K , which coincides with the service interval after next. You needn't make it an immediate concern unless you're hearing weird noises and/or experiencing power loss issues. However I do suggest you carry out a full service, including inspection of drive line and suspension, when you hit 100,000 kms.

Allion 240 has 1NZ-FE VVTi engine. No T Belt, a timing chain which is lubricated always and self adjusted for long term slacking. No maintenance required Hope this helps.

It is not only for Allion, any car having a 1NZ-FE with VVTi or engines with dual VVTi all have chains and self adjusting tensioners. And the chain is lubricated by a jet of oil. Hmmm you can safely say the chain will be good for a long time, I never said till eternity.
