Engine Vibration In Fb15

Today I had a several km of drive in my car. Suddenly my car start some kind of vibration when it was in parked (@ Gear position "P")

This vibration increases with the AC load (when AC is on at "P" parked position, its unbearable)

Also vibration reduce with increase of engine RPM.

Now my car has very law pulling power and kick down option also not really working properly.

You guys have any idea what this can cause?

Hi sonariz i don't know much about fb15. Check your engine and transmission mounts.Bad transmission mounts can feel like erratic kick downs.If your one has a kick down cable it can be broken too.because of that not engaging proper gears so you have bad pulling power.But in other way you engine plugs may be misfiring or clogged injectors,bad sensor causing rough engine can happen.You better take it to A*W tommorow and do a engine diagnosis first.

This could very well be because of an ignition issue. The first thing I'd do is check if all the spark plugs are working fine. I'm not sure about the FB 15's ignition design, but if it has multiple ignition coils supplying power to one or two cylinders, it could also be an ignition coil that is at fault. In both of these scenarios, one cylinder of your engine ceases to work properly due to being unable to ignite the fuel, causing considerable vibration.

Take your car to a good mechanic. This should be pretty easy to diagnose.

I have a Swift 2002 box model.

I replaced TPS from A*W and had engine tuneup there and after that replace shock mounts ,gear mount and shocks from Kle**Pa**k . That was happened two months back.. now i am having this vibration problem, vehicle is vibrating when it is in D and with break. And some times stops when releasing break. Please tel me a good mechanic for these kind of issues.

Ah right. If this is the case, there's a good chance for one of the coils to be at fault here.

I was driving a Sylphy 2003 ( G10 OR N17 model ) for quite some time and it is very common that your injectors gets blocked if you pump poor quality fuel.Anyway In nisaan the injector block is very common and I used to clean them for every six months at least.

Engine vibration could be due to this as well if one or more injector is badly blocked. Have you done a good tune up recently,

So Davy was correct! This problem is pretty common on that engine.

I have the similar issue... when i put to first gear and accelerate slowly the engine gives a knock/jerk but when i accelerate fast i dont get it..

today I identified when I get this... It's ONLY WHEN THE AC IS ON, I get this knock or if i keep the ac off and accelerate slowly i don't get this knock... this issue persisted since the beginning but I didnt pay attention to it as i thought it was normal..since Mr. Dhammika didn't detect any faults (no ignition coil burn detection) in my car at the tuneup, will this issue go away after doing an ultrasonic injector clean? (why does it happen only when A/C is on?... this happens only in first gear and very very slight vibration in second gear acceleration)...

Well PL you have your own thread to discuss these things or is it you deliberately avoiding discussions on issues with your there? Either way the slight stalling of the engine when you slowly accelerate with AC on could be due to one or more of many things. Of course it may not happen with the AC on or when accelerated fast because on both these instances ECU first goes for a enriched air/fuel mixture (with AC on due to an additional load, when accelerated fast analogous to an accelerator pump in old carbs) and then works out the corrections. So basically the issue seems to be due to a slightly lean mixture at idle. Hence, a clean up and a test of injectors may solve the problem. A clean up alone will not do any good because for example if one injector is delivering more fuel than the others or having a leak, you may get this issue. So you need to get them tested on a rig as well. If you have time please refer to a presentation like one given in http://www.asnu.com/tech/index.htm for more information.

No I thought issues should be asked on relevant threads where the issue has been discussed... So what I did was searched the forum with keywords such as jerk/vibration/tuneup etc and read the replies found this more suitable to address the issue, so posted it here... If it's all cool I will address my issues on the "Nissan Presea" thread from now on
