i dont know... the 'off-roading' it did was pretty soft-core which any average 4x4 could handle i thought..

the only 'wow' is that it can go in the water; that too only because its prevented water leaking in. Besides that tiny propeller the propulsion seems to be coming from the wheels... and the steering works merely by the water direction off the front wheels.. and certainly wasnt the fastest thing in water..

The reviewer seems to be car-jizzing over nothing IMO...

At one point (5:23) he shows a track driven vehicle, which is apparently the normal runaround in that marshy area. Dunno much about offroading but something (with wheels) that can match a vehicle like that is pretty impressive. As far as speed in the water goes, for one thing it doesn't look very hydrodynamic, and maybe he wasn't pushing it, he certainly looked apprehensive about the whole experience.

I love the way it looks though. Kinda like a moon buggy for land and water.

Yes, It was already introduced in India , China and in some other countires.

10 – 12 years ago only very few car models we could see on Indian roads , Ambassador, Maruti 800, Maruti Esteem, Premier Padmini, Tata Indica, Daewoo Matiz, ect.

Tata Safari , Tata Sumo , Mahindra were the only SUV we could see there.

Somewhere around year 2000 , Toyota entered in to Indian market with their SUV ,Toyota Quails.

Never could find any vehicle with Automatic transmission except very few Japanese vehicles belonged to diplomats.

Amazingly changed everything within last decade and most of famous Japanese brands as well as European brands have their plants in India now.

ummm the Passat we get here( the one for permit) is it assembled in India or brought down from Germany?

India is filled with Toyota Innova and Hundai i20's now..

and about that Mahatthaya model... the indian version is hopeless..
