Tax Reduction For Srilankans Abroad

guys just heard the new budget has proposed reduced tax for vehicle imports for srilankans working abroad , anyone got any info on this

It is proposed as 60% tax exemption. The framework is not defined yet. They will bring a lot of "if", "but", "and...and and" ...sothat finally, all will get fedup. Better if they go with 2013 and 2014 monthly remittances, before the budget, to define one of the eligibility criteria. Or create 2013 /2014 yearly remittance slabs to qualify up to a mximum of US$ 35,000 permit.

I guess they ll bring the ifs and but s to deter car sale guys trying to screw the system by using this permit scheme..anyways it's a good step in the right direction for foreign workers....
