Engine rattle in axio hybrid at cold start

My axio hybrid engine rattle for few seconds at cold start up occasionally

Seek expert advice regarding the issue

I too have the same problem with my Axio hybrid. Some people say it's normal. Not sure though. ?

My one sounds like a freaking lawn mower at cold starts.

Mine after two years  of daily use and 30k kms still so quiet at cold start that it even allows me to sneak out from the office early without anyone noticing (:D).

If it starts in EV mode yes but usually in the mornings my one sounds like a lawn mower and gradually tones down till EV mode, after that its all history!

I've seen a similar issue in Hondas and it was due to a fault in the VVT cam sprocket.

I guess this noise is mainly due to high idling speed during cold start. These atkinson cycle engines goes close to 2k RPM during initial startup for about a minute.

My aqua is going similar from day 0.

Well my Mazda is no hybrid but in mornings the sound scares away my dogs. I guess Vezel sound is lower due to good sound insulation.
