AC stopped working

Hi all,

My car AC stopped working suddenly and when I press AC button after the blower it gives a strange odor and with no cool. 

Any experience on such?

The evaporator is likely to have sprung a leak. Take your car to an AC workshop and get them to perform a pressure test. If the pressure doesn't hold, the leak needs to be found, plugged (or component replaced) and the system recharged.

As my colligues have diagnosed , you have a leak, and the smell comes from the oil and the refrigirant leaking from the evaporator .

p.s. Just out of curiosity, what is your car?
