I have a Daihatsu hijet s200 van. Fuel consumption is 1liter per 8km. And a bad petroleum smell is coming from the silencer. Is this a problem of the throttle sensor ?

Get a diagnostic scan done and observe the O2 sensor readings when both hot and cold. Petrol smell from exhaust is a sign of the engine running rich.

By the way, "less fuel consumption" is a good thing. It means the car consumes less fuel. Your topic title is misleading. :)

I think the title should be 'low efficiency' 8km per 1L is a crime for your vehicle !  :o

As Davy has pointed, get a scan and address to getting the engine back to correct running as you'll fail your next emissions test.

and don't use high obtain petrol.
