Hi all,

Does any one saw the interior of the new Micro SUV's. If so how does it looks like. Is it has a good quality.

Following news articles says that the interior and the body are made in Sri Lanka.

And why didn't they update their web site yet. Because of that they are going to loose a the advantage e-marketing.

I have seen the Rexton and the quality is good compared to the Indian alternatives, I dont think its fair to compare the vehicle with Japanese models due to the price difference and looking at the articles it looks like it can only get better for the micro guys

i'm glad that this is happening for the micro guys coz the attempt at cars wasn't all that successful...

personally i think the micro trend was way better looking than the qq..

right on fuzzo.... so are the mini vans almost as good as the jap ones...... Hope Micro guys can lift thier heads soon - Pitty our idiots are'nt supporting them.....

I checked out both the Rexton and Kyron. The Kyron is a bit off Jap quality when it comes to the interior, but the Rexton is up there or at least very close.

The seats are made here and were comfortable! Leather is not exactly Napa in Merc/Audi or Momo in an Alfa but still very much better than the awful fake leather on Singapore imported cars for example.

yes that's exactly what i was thinking....but my finances disagree.... so it will have to something smaller in value.....way smaller...

Ya I agree with you my friend. I think it is better to introduce something like a 4wd Double cab for a price around 2.5t-3.5Mn.

And also I think it is better to introduce a larger car like a wagon since Trend is a little bit too small.

no..now it's time for something bigger i think.

A Hummer!

Oh, in that case, Jeep and the full sized SUVs from the Japs like the Patrol or Cruisers I suppose.

Or a LR.

had the Kyron got better rear lights it would've been a very stylish jeep... shame that... and if it has some sort of reliability (not saying it doesn't) it'd be a superb deal for a diesel jeep...

don't like the Rexton's styling at all...

a Nissan PATROL Y60 is a nice :) ...its got a wider stance & seems more butch that a Hummer in its 'concrete slab' kinda appearance :D

any showroom to check on the unit?

its on castle street - near é turn off to Shady Grove avenue - near é big junction towards é rear end of borella Kannatta - where those new fangled overhead colour lights are :D

hmm...MICRO isnt buliding it yet but ssangyong's Double cab hit é market last week from N*nda motors - so maybe Dr. Lawrence Perera & co. can get é desgin rights to build that here - if they can offer it for abt 2 Million it'll deffinitly blow é competition outta é water... :)

theywill problably be around 8-15 million... you should be able to get a TZ land cruiser (the small one) for about 5 mil....

i figured a Y60 would be chaper - 4 million perhaps? any chance of scooping one for that price?

machan when u say TZ u mean é new shape Prado minus é rear door mounted spare is it?

or is it é mid 1990's pre Land Cruiser 100 version 64- round shape Land Cruisers??

Hmmm, I dont think you'll be able to lay your hands on a good Prado for 4-5 Mill machan..... the Old LJ/KZJ Series (Box Shaped) Landcruiser II's are now selling for Mid 4's..... so i'm guessin a prado would be at least 5.5 -6 Mill.

From what I have seen, even the 65- diesel ones go over 5 mil unless in really bad condition. (65- LJ78/9 box models go around 4-5million.

There was a Petrol TZ with English no's last week for 5.3 million. Thats with a 3400cc engine which gets about 6 km/l in the city and 7-8km/l out.

The newer TZ goes around 8.5 mil upwards. Even the 2.7 litre GX which is a horrible driver due to the small engine go for 7.5 million up. I have heard the newer VVTi 2.7 is much nicer and gets about 7km/l in the city. Not tried it out as yet.

Any comments about the New Prado Less the Rear spare wheel on the door? (Its to reduce the length of the vehicle and to reduce the body noises in my opinion).
