what is the main difference between an EG8 vtec and an EK3????

i know the looks and costs are different../but im confused about the rest...

can you guys please help me out???

Your prediction is quite wrong. I was replying to your post. If YOU hadn't said that I wouldn't have bothered. Not to mention, no one marketed a sunny or a corolla yet. There was a time some time ago that I didn't know the difference. Trick is, we all gotta learn somehow. But until you do, you gotta avoid saying things like fuel maniacs. I mean geez, if a sunny doing 10 is a maniac, what do you call a Prado doing 4?

something to do with seeing so many of em just supporting what they like or they own and dissing others for no logical reason...

like the 360 vs ps3... canon vs nikon... mac vs pc... same goes for fishing stuff also sadly...

personally i think all these brands have their strengths and weaknesses..

the issue is when perceived strength and perceived weaknesses are thrown into the mix coupled with lack of experience and at times common sense... fan boys are born

and i have an inherent dislike towards them

Yes I hav a soft spot 4 Honda's & yes I hav a EG8 <_< but I'm not saying they r "automatically more powerful" compared to all brands....BUT wen u consider the small sedan range the Honda does hav an advantage against some brands for eg. Nissan Justification:

My colleague has an Nissan FB15 it has a 1300cc, EG8 has a 1500cc (rounded up of course) this is the obvious power advantage

The next is the power to weight ratio (i think) FB15 weighs 1100KG & the EG8 has 1010KG, u do the math.....this i checked frm the registration....

Another frnd of mine also had a Nissan N16 not sure if it's a version of the FB15 or vise versa but same scenario.....this is my experience compared to the Nissan Brand Not sure abt the others......

Fuel consumption is a variable & u cant relate it to performance it very much depends on the condition of the vehicle.....

Err.. FYI, the FB15 came with a 1.5 Liter engine as well. As did most every other version of Sunny, corolla, 323 and such.

you are comparing the weight factor of two cars that belonged to two differant generations...if you want to compare the eg8 with a sunny i suggest you try the b13...

according to wiki they both weiged about the same

the sentra b13 (1.4) weighed 1028kg and the eg8 sedan (1.5) weighed 1032kg's

get your facts right sister

Also, like I said. You predicted someone would start marketing AE110 or Sunny's. No one has done that. Def not me. I have not mentioned any other car model than civics. I only remarked about fanboy attitudes, not pushing a different model. Soo... Prediction = FAIL. Sorry Mini.

sure but isn't the eg8 pretty old? :rolleyes: The 2005 Honda Civic EXI weighs 1150 KG's (as per registration weight). The 2002 Toyota Corolla 1.5 VVT-i weighs 1080 Kg's! And since you mentioned small cars, the Vios weighs a measly 1030 KG's. So yeah power to weight by your comparison is way off mate. And yeah as almost everyone else has mentioned, the FB15 came with a 1.5l engine too. And what's more the N16 has a version with a VVT-i engine (1.5l) as well, so that'll sure give a v-tech civic a bloody good fight.. So yeah your comparison is based on some pretty poor facts.

K mate! Its natural to get upset if posts were not read carefully.What I wanted to point out here is not a brand superiority.Some of our friends here are addicted to car types and models.Or maybe they only know about one or two types/models.

Just read the above posts...some are second only to the weekend paper laughter column.

Following is the "natural trend".....

Simply when it comes to Hondas immediate reaction by many of our guys- Why Rice type? Very expensive to maintain...good for a burn only...while owners say Very powerful,attract girls,can modify a lot etc

Toyotas-Especially 110s-Owners say ,economical,light weight,easy to sell Others say but not powerful than Hondas,cant modify not drag friendly and so on,

Nissans (especially Sunny)-Owners say happy to own one while pundits comment ,thirsty,odd looking,heavy,underpowered ,not that easy to sell,agents sucks...

So please stop the Make/model war here .

I beg to differ. SOME Nissans look mighty fine. Am yet to see a 'modified' Corolla on the Ad pages though, hmm...weird that.

Cum on boys the EG isn't that bad? You can do miracles with it. It's a fun car to drive. Well I do believe that all cars have it's own power but it all depends on how you drive it!!!!
