Auto Lock / Security System Problem
mazdaspeed replied to mazdaspeed's question in Electrical problems
Hi terabite, Thx bro I tried to mail you through the A/L side but I get an error.... is this place near the zoo by the road near the school ? If that's the place I think I know it ..... -
Hi Guy, Could some one help me out please? My friend has a Mazda 3, and of recent he’s been having an issue with the central locking component. Issue been that it locks and unlocks automatically with out the user activating any commands. He’s given it to C.Mart - well load of help that was as they are baffled more than what my friend was- starting off they didn’t know where there electric switch board/computer component was located which ended up by removing almost all the upholstery and panels… Has any one else come across this issue ? Mind you this issue started with the time the raining started to pour down like a water fall Any 1 out there who can recommend a guy who can get this issue fixed Cheers

Hay Holla.... How ? Well as I said it was working fine bt my friends told me the blower was not pushing enough and to get it cleaned ( He's an AC -domestic guy) So asked around a few places and all quoted above 5000/- These guys removed the box thingy near the cubby area and cleaned the filters, the motors and the core ( something like a radiator which was clogged with dust. Then they washed the radiator fins ( AC Part od the radiator which sits in front of the radiator ) and re-oiled the pipes and re gassed the system as they let the gas out..... C.Park have a form cleaning system but they advised me to first get it checked so as to ensure that there are no leaks in the core due to rust - cau the form they use removed all the dirt and if there's a leak due to rust then I would anyway have to get it fixed- mighty nice of them to be honest and lose out on the servicing part. well all in all the price was on the high side bt just though I get it done so I know where I stand- glad that there was no major issue with the AC Cheers

talk about quick response..... well looks like your now overloaded.... pulling slots might be a good method to chose a place..... I got mine serviced meaning a full clean up and re gassed- lucky for me there were no issues but it still cost me 5000/- with the gas, servicing and labor Anyway the place is near Open university be 4 coming to the bridge ( coming form Nugegoda side) cheers

The Rx is a beauty sorry U missed it... I know the feeling...... The sticker job on the Sky Line kind of gives me an idea mmmmmm Anyway good luck on the hunt…..u never know fate is such that u may be destined to find a better one …………. ( This may work for you - but for me ahhhhhh humbug )

Agree Gihan.... Specially on Top gear – Clarkson is an ASS H*L# in my opinion – the fact is that all he brags about is British cars ( We all know the faults on the land rover freelander) Yes there are good cars done by the british but come on Japs do an equally good job Cricket- Gentleman my foot- most of the brits are bloody jerks. Behavior almost resembles animals ( I take that back- then I would be insulting animals) just some of them are trying to be gentlemen like but that’s fast diminishing specially with the recent generation. Im looking forward for others berating UK, Still remember the match at lords where we thrashed the Brits… close to the end there were just a hand full of spectators…. The best part is – a steward comes up to me & says “Sorry I know this sounds crazy but u can’t wave the flag here” such a load of crap…. Trying to be civilized in the stadium…when u go on the road/bus bunch of drunkards who get high on beer…. Nassar Hussain- Hellllo if only he knew his history- the jerks parents would have come down form India and cleaned the asses of the whites – He’s technically not British just a coconut ( white on the inside & brown on the outside) Looking forward to UK getting trashed …. Good luck to all – including Aussi’s

Yes I agree..... Feedback helps a lot & give very good insight to the kind of person you are dealing with. Take care on new buyers as well as sellers..... then the Nigeria scam.... or Africa - KEEP CLEAR of sellers as well as bidders....( No offence meat to the country/region bt there are lot of frauds happening – paypal usually advices on this) Well little bit of junk sold but mainly sold off the stuff I bought from shops that were closing down ( New Stuff) I really wish we had a system like that here in SL……

Was too tired to watch the 2nd part but heard it was the best 1 yet.... ya... well I'm not surprised at the decision ….. After all there must be plenty of goofs over there to lick the white aS* ( Mod:s pls pardon me…. But I just get pissed when it come to things like this) even though I’ve lived there ......... Anyway….. congrats to our guys….. even though my blood was boiling during our batting ……..

I can vouch for the fact that E bay is quite addictive …. I’ve not bought anything or sold anything here in SL but when I was in UK this was one of my favorite pastimes…. I;ve earned handy sum too and it was a lovely experience….. Keeping in mind that there are fraudsters and you just need to go by the old saying :” if it’s too good to be true- then there’s a catch” Paypal have been extremely helpful helped out on more than 1 ocation… All I know is that the shipping charges to SL an the local post is pathetic hence have not bothered doing anything online….. I really miss e-bay

U poor fellow - driving a Nissan all these year…. ( Kidding man…… well the Skyline., primera and other high end are fun but the standard ones are crap – My mother drives a Nissan and I hate to take it out ) Well I said welcome already and glad to see another member to the Mazda family….. been a keen enthusiast & loyalist for Mazda … DPMC is David P – located at Colombo 2 near Arpico give them a call and u can get an appointment- the other dude is In piliyandala – drop me a mail then I shall give you the full info as I can’t advertise names on this forum. [email protected] Cheers Hay Fuzzo - were you the 1 who got a break upgrade done ? Some 1 here has got it done on a mazda I was told..... ?????

Hi Bugatti When U say better on fuel around what rates are you talking- I'm a bit confused - When I spoke to DPMC they said It was normal for a 1.6 to do 7.8 to 8.0 per L Is there something wrong ? I've put new plugs abt 4 months ago and got the throttle body cleaned as well..... new filter put in when I changed- a VIC Would appreciate any info if you got any.... Cheers...
-
I agree - don't take it to those places...... If you want go to DPMC and give it to them a full mechanical service including cleaning , removal of carbon etc… and tuning would be around Rs.7000/- The Guy in Papiliyana is recommended for all repairs, however since this is EFI he will not be able to tune as such as u need a computer & software to diagnose it. I got a 1.6 Manual and it does about 7.8- 8.2 as well and wanted to do a check but the guys at DPMC said it was normal and that would be the rate – Any 1 out there with a manual 1.6 L with info on fuel consumption ? You could look at putting a new set of plugs ( if it’s a re con, ) and a new filter – Check with A*s*r* Motors for plugs and filter – then you know when to change the plugs and stuff- stick with NGK Congrats on the purchase & welcome to the Mazda Family…. ( if this is your first Mazda) Cheers and happy driving

Adding to this the body parts such as lights may be a bit hard to find but the Mechanical stuff are relatively cheap as it's the same as Mazda. A 1.6 has good pulling power but fuel consumption is a bit high. An auto 1.6 which belonged to a friend did about 8. per Liter but dammm that thing fly’s....... Over all a very exciting car... to drive..... can get most of the parts from A*s#r$ motors and there's a good mechanic who’s an expert on Fords and Mazda's ........ All the best on your purchase
-
Yes 'Grand Civic & GihanFX are right let's not bring up things here on this tread..... lets all try to all drive safely.... and remember having a fast car is not everything u also need to know how to handle the dam thing ( Not that I’m an expert but..... basic knowledge) and predict things ahead.... (e.g a 3 wheeler in front on the left means the freeking idiot MAY and MOST LIKLY do a U turn when he fancy's with out any warning) After all our country has no road rules - just the occasional police catching speeding and drink driving on the weekend. Heard the person who survived has sadly passed away too... sympathies to his family tooo

Thanks a lot Speedemon20o- I remember the bare open land- never new there was a track there.... wow... cool.... looking forward to meeting some of the memebers of A/L see u there

I don’t know them personally but sad as they were just kids….. 1 is still just coming out of danger as 1 said . They work at the same place I work but at a different location Well they work in the customer service department at the airport…… the reason is excessive speed and then going out of control…… All you young dudes…(ahhhh and the old dudes like me who occationally forget my own advice) . Please do take care… having a fast car is one thing but remember we live in a crazy country with 3 wheelers, people jumping form no where and the list goes on….and you need to be able to control the speed too…… My deepest Sympathies goes out to the family’s……..

There's a guy near RMV ( Old location - near CIMA office) as I too wanted to get it done. He will do the wiring and the rest. I think he will also be able to get you the mirrors but then you may need to paint them if there are from a 2nd hand store. Drop me a mail and I'll give you the guys contact number. Cheers

helloooo would some 1 out there be kind enough to give direction on how to get to this venue please.....

Count me in too for the Bike fan list…… My initial passion was for bikes, but I’m no racer ….. just loved them a lot…. Haven’t had any serious bikes but have friends who are in to racing so I use to tag along with them ( Side Kolla ) Parents were never too keen on the bike idea- got furiously mad when I build a ramp and ran by BMX over it. My fav is Honda- always wanted to own a CBR- but now getting too old to be in that riding position for long periods….. anyway haven’t got on 1 for abt 3-4 years now Some pic would be great… pls do post when u get them Cheers
