Been there! I see an obscure car somewhere, take a pic , plan to lay out a series of clues ...but within hours gummy and iRage crack it. 

Honestly though, I would not have thought of this if I hadn't watched the Late Brake show the day before. I'm sure that's where you got the idea as well.

Lexus GX550 it is ! 
Pictures of a recent import (along with some other LCs) at the port were getting circulated online the last few days. Seems like it is a non-JDM model as it is in a color that was not offered here as we only have the Overland+ (with its unique color packages) for now (because the model was recently launched in Japan).

This is Charade Detomaso, had one of them when I was a student and still I am looking for a good example to buy.

A lot of these have been trashed and resting in car yards.

So..in the middle of no where of Ibaraki prefecture there apparently is a Daihatsu dealership with 3 of these things on display. A person in one of the car groups had come across is last weekend and posted about it on FB. The dealership owner is supposed to be a car guy  


Can someone else please take my turn ?

That's a nice car. Sri Lanka has a few fortunately. Very expensive even now, the one with the weird doors are very rare
