Not a Dodge Charger (though the news of US suggesting SL import vehicles from Murrica was all over the news this week) 

...and funnily enough it is NOT an obscure Chinese Brand. Far from it! Let's wait for more answers and I will drop  clues. 😄

Since there has been no update, let me drop some clues.

1. The car is NOT from an obscure Chinese Brand.

2. If I reveal the BADGE on this particular car you will realize it is from one of the most if not most ,well known and popular brands. 

3. It is also not Dodge or anything Murrican.

I am sure I have seen a Jetta (a Different Black colour car) and a Bora back in SL. They were on diplomatic plates back then

Yeah...there were three or four Gen 2s but cannot recollect a maroon one. There are a handful of 4th gens too but I can't recall seeing any 3rd gens.

Yes. This is in SL - the maroon Jetta actually belongs to a friend of mine. It was a 1987 brand new import - used in the Petroleum Corporation.
