Oooh close, very close but answer is wrong. Also the Kangoo is the same size as a Doblo.

Do you know that the Mercedes-Benz Citan that people in Sri Lanka is paying a premium is in fact a Renault Kangoo rebadged as a Merc?

It is a renault and not a mini van? The whale clue kind of got me thinking mini vans due to the shape.

Renault Traffic/ Nissan NV300

Renault name is correct but the Nissan name is incorrect. Nissan Primstar is the correct name for this model as the NV300 name came in after 2016. The vehicle in the picture is a 2007 Nissan Primstar. Cant upload the original picture as it has a watermark of a website.

Isuzu Journey - from circa 1970.

an old black and white photo of a bus parked in front of a storefront

Very impressive, correct because of the picture but the name given is wrong. Isuzu BLD20 it is, successor to the Elf light bus and was named the Journey much later in its life. The one in the picture is off a local advert which says its a 1967/8 vehicle. I was thinking that the bottom grille was a local job but it seems to be authentic.

I was pretty sure that this was an Isuzu Bus when i saw the part of your image -  You're right the correct model was BLD20 - I was under the impression it was Isuzu Journey BLD20 since the Journey's anyway had a BE/BL model codes.

Have not seen one for real in Sri Lanka - just now sourced your ad as well.. as expected it comes with  23 Sri Plates. The engine would have been replaced by now and the steering wheel looks like it's from a newer Journey.

righty-ho then... here's a pretty easy and straightforward one...

that website has some more interesting stuff including some history into the Rosa. Translation is a bit hit and miss but you can get the general idea :)

Since no one replied to this, Nissan Pulsar / Cherry from the 1980s I would say the GL model.

Correct - the little vent/like thingy behind the rear door is the biggest clue.

this would be a car suitable for a head of state of a sovereign nation , and the flagship model of a Japanese maker of princely origin.

With a name suitable for a head of state, but not of princely origin. And a big lethargic engine tuned for comfort and refinement to boot.
