They offer a 9.5k worth of tune up package (including ultrasonic injector cleaning etc) for 50% discount. Not a known tuning specialist, but it seems they possess the machinery needed and might be worth checking out if you want a value deal ... quality? YMMV! The "prominent garage in the Townhall area" you refer to WAS really good at allignments sometime ago. Not anymore. Personal experience. I took my Montero Sport for a tyre change to them ( got the Yokohamas from the agents). There was nothing wrong with the allignment and tyre wear on the old tyres all round was perfect. Anyway with the new tyres I got the wheels balanced and then wanted the allignments done. They hooked it up onto their computer and then these guys told me that my allignments were way off and inquired whether there was any uneven tyre wear, steering pull etc etc I said there were no problems and asked them to have a look at the old tyres. Then they told me to take the vehicle to some fellow in Nugegoda near the Over Pass and get some adjustment done and the Foreman wrote in sinhala on the wheel allignment report "Nool thuna bagin depaththama navanna" and asked me to take it for the adjustment. I had none of it, as why should something be "bent" when there was nothing noticeably wrong with the vehicle? I took the vehicle to another place at Panadura which is very popular in that area, and without doing any adjustments and neither telling them what happened earlier got the allignment checked and found there was no "bending" required and the allignments were done. The vehicle runs perfect. The " prominent garage in the Townhall area" now seems to be having less work compared to the work they had a few years ago and could be they are trying their hand at various new things which the standard and quality could be anyones guess. My two cents worth of advice is do not patronise them as they are now becoming dubious. Edited August 18, 2012 by Magnum357

None of above is relevant to OP's post directly and was anyways summarized in my comment Never been there myself. Good to know that they are also one of the many 'unreliables' out there - which of course leaves no reliable garage in SL! My car was up for an EFI tune up and I purchased a voucher from the deal website you are referring to. It was a good deal so I thought I’d give it a shot. I had not visited this “prominent” place before to get any job done and it was through this deal that I got to know that they do EFI tune ups as well (Since they are mostly famous for wheel alignment). Anyway, my experience with the EFI tune up was good. The mechanic who worked on my car was a very competent fellow and he knew what he was doing. I got throttle body cleaned (TPS checked), injectors cleaned using ultrasonic and then a diagnostic scan was also performed (this one guy did the entire job). On another note, I think the management there sucks big time. My appointment was at 8:30am and I was there by 8:25am. But I had to wait over 1 hour until they actually began work on my car because of the lack of manpower. I had a word with the manager during my wait.
