Vw Kombi - Still In Production

Well... why look further? India is still making a few ancient relics from the early 80s.... The Maruti 800 (2nd Gen Suzuki Alto), Maruti Alto (3rd Gen Suzuki Alto). Pakistan is still manufacturing the 2nd Gen Suzuki Alto with their own name called "Mehran". Mehran has a carburreted engine!

I believe, Iran Khodro is another company that still manufactures old relics from Peugeot. And if you look at china, there must be plenty of small timers who still make old relics.

Good news! The Mehran now has an EFI and conforms to EURO-II emission standards (Europe is now on EURO-V)

Just made me wonder if any other ancient relics are still being manufactured around the world.......?

I remembered a recent Top Gear episode on the E Type Jag when I read your question. Apparently a small company in the UK is manufacturing a car based on the E Type and they call it the Eagle Speedster.

Let Jeremy Clarkson himself explain... :)

Found this today. I'm surprised it's still being made.

Yep. and they still manufacture the round light omni under the name everest in Pakistan. I even saw a few ford festiva "sedans" 1992/93 model , but looked very new. Not sure whether they were local assembled.

I wonder how much effort one would have to go through to get one in RHD. I remember the Mexican Beetle could be ordered in RHD right up to the end.

Edit: After reading TFA, I don't think they'd work in SL. There's an interior shot showing a sticker with the wording 'Fuel E100', which I'm sure is 100% ethanol.
