my uncle got that sticker for his Montero Sport couple of months back and he hasn't had any problem yet

i have seen some KDH vans montero sports with light blue color sticker which paste on head light. i guess those are the one you're refering.

I don't think this is that chepo looking blue tint... Im guessing this is more in the lines of 3M clear stickers ?

yup its good. if you went to the waidya raod fellow, you know, the one who's very advanced, you'll get the best deal for this thing, short of bringing it down yourself. around 3500 per light i think. or 2500. get it cleaned and get a clear sticker. or tint, if that turns you on.

the one on baseline road who claims to be pals with your auto is twice this price. stay away. if you knew howmuch the original tint is per foot, you'd shoot them both

No i paid 3500 for both lights ( first he cleaned then cut and polished finally applied this sticker) the place is at Idigahamula near kirillawala Chamara Sticker yes he has light blue and some more colour.

Sounds like a money grab to me. Why would you clean up your lenses only to stick a tinted bit of plastic over it?

  1. Won't the blue (or any other colour) tint cut down on the amount of light output? It seems counter productive to go clean your lights so as to get more light output; only to reduce it again immediately afterwards.
  2. Won't the plastic film discolour and degrade faster / equally as fast as the lenses?
  3. Lenses don't degrade quickly. It'll be a couple of years before they discolour again and at that point in time, why not just just re-do them again?

Not sure about you guys, but to me it seems like it'd be better getting the cut and polish done and leaving off the sticker. Or better still do it yourself, its not hard. There's a number of members who posted up instructions and pictures of the process:

The colored tint on the lights are rubish,
But clear things that do work (eg- the 3m clearguard)

The lights are clear as brand new after about 6yrs and the time saved is definitely worth the initial investment.
