Engine braking effect of cvt transmision

My vitz car(ksp130) is having engine braking effect  below 40 kmph speed when i am not acceletating(step off gas pedal

Is it normal for cvt transmisions.

It has that effect at all speeds but we only feel it when the speed is low.

Anyway if you are talking about any braking effect which was not there originally  that might be a problem. Maybe your brakes are actually binding?

There is slight jerking also (feels like engine miss) when accerlerating immediately after slow down between 10kmph to 40 kmph range.

Is this also normal for a 3 cylinder engine with cvt transmission?

Could be wrong but I have never felt engine breaking on a CVT unless it can hold a artificial gear. The ones with manual shift points (paddle shift or triptronic) can engine break very well.

I felt engine braking more when I shift to S or B 

These slight jerks at low speeds are normal for CVTs I think

yes sometimes feel this in my new civic as well at very slow speeds. Completely normal.
