I do throttle body clean up and manual injector clean up when necessary despite using this product.

but then again...they advise to use it every service so maybe that's the reason i needed direct intervention

also...there's another product by wurth where you spray-in the injector cleaner straight into the throttle body.

possibly that's the one your mechanic wanted cos you need to remove the air intake to access the throttle body opening to use this

I use a similar product by STP and I use it every other service. Its pretty straight forward, just tip the entire contents of the bottle into a full or nearly full tank of fuel as per the directions on the bottle. Don't try concentrating it as over concentrating the product by adding it to a smaller amount of fuel may damage your seals and your catalytic convertor.

Open the box, remove the foil, put the contents inside the box in to the mouth, then pump full cup of beverage.

Dispose of the empty box and the foil in a responsible manner.

Make sure you put to the correct opening.

Can any member give what are the solvents the injector cleaners are mixed with.

I have read in foreign motor forums they have mostly kerosine and (IPA) alcohol.

Didn't google this up until you mentioned it but yes; based on the chemical mix listed the stuff I use does seem to have some kerosene in it...
