Sadly I have to agree with you on the looks…….. Devinda_Z well the Ford does look kind of nice Well if U got the 2001 model then U have to take it to DPMC and get it checked up – Cleaning alone MAY not help as I’ve done it and replaced all plugs but I get only 7.56 per Liter form my Mazda. Sooo planning to take it to DPMC can tell you if it works by the end of this month….. (Currently financial status is down right Shit ) cheers

Hay Saturn Some sound advice man... Nice not the least bit carzy if U ask me... very practical... My friend has Mazda 3 but says it's quite low hence does cause a problem on out roads- on the other hand the 323 ( Not the Famila) has good ground clearance... Don't forget the insurance is high... get every bloody cover U can... floods, riots, terrorism etc.... u never know what will happen in crazy Lanka hence for a 2 mil car u'r looking at 60K insurance and ya post a pic when U do buy 1..

Well I’ve used it abroad and I know it works wonders… as they got fixed and mobile units abroad… However Got a question U know the cops got these hand held unit…….. well does the detector recognize it only when it’s pointed towards the car and the cop presses whatever to activate the unit…? If that’s the case then may be a bit of an issue as will not have enough time to slow down. Any 1 got any idea on this ? Anyway we got a kind of an early warning system (SL Style) guys keep flashing their Head lights meaning that there are cops ahead….. it has helped me several times

Hi Chinthka Welcome to the Mazda family… ( if this is not your 1st Mazda) Well 9K looks a bit too much. I got a 2000 model but it’s manual. The Auto’s take about 4 L of Auto gear. Changing it every 30,K is fine as My mother car is an Auto. I generally put BP form and the can is around Rs.1500/- bt with the machine it takes in more as it’s circulated through the machine. There are other places to get you car check up and they are very reliable. I personally HATE car mate as in my opinion They freeking idiot’s and don’t promote Mazda enough- I got a ex Carmar & ex MAZDA corp. UAE guy where I take my car to…. Nice to see another Mazda fan- couple of years ago I remember most people condemning Mazda like it was a bucket of shit ( Had the experience when selling my Mazda Hatch) Good Choice but the Price is an issue as getting a normal 1.6L 323 ( Manual ) now goes for around 2.4 Mil unregistered. Got any idea of going for a jeep/Pickup- As I’m thinking with all the madness on the roads…. Just a thought…..

Hi I second that... he's good on all types of general works.... I got a 1.6 L man Trans but currently it's doing 7.6Per L, it was worse but after a throttle body clean it increased.... to 7.6. I've put new plugs (NGK Platinum tips) but I was advised to get a tune up done...... The plc in papiliyana does not have the diagnostic computers to do the needful so have to take it to DPMC. Looks like I need to have a serious check on the fuel issue.... luckily the company pays for it...

Like some 1 had put it - we've worked hard and getting a 1.6L used car is not a crime - U wanna go about talking how lucky we are- Go to the government- See the waste @ RDA -Battaramula & other locations ...... Sorry Dinosh.... there is a good 2nd hand value for mazda, a 2000 model would cost some where abt 1.4mil to 1.6 (1500CC) the 1300CC are lesser... A 2003 model is going at 1.6 - 1.8 Mil now.... Compared to Nissans and Toyota's true the value is not that great... but overall the car is much better than the Nissan N 16, etc.... The Vios is a nice looking car- besides the fact that the meter's are at the middle of the console- seems stupid to Me but some tend to like it. However the price many be an issue Good luck on the hunt

Like Lilindu, I recommend a Mazda 323, try to get a manual- A Singapore spec would be lovely and would be around that range... Better make up your mind fast- the prices are abt to take off

Well I suppose all of u guys have seen the new with the new ministers and all – there ministries for everything- u never know there may be 1 for even sending a fart……. So this means heaps of Defenders etc… BMW.
