Correct. Over to you. I have seen photos of one of these were shared on a fb group in 2020. There's a good chance it is the only vehicle in SL.

Car was released in August 2020 and deliveries started a month or two after. I suppose this is a diplomatic or an import of a foreigner working in SL (e.g. program officers in org like JICA get duty free vehicle imports but don't get any special number plate) ?

The facelift of this was launched in Sri Lanka a couple of weeks ago. This would be an MG5 ev (pre-facelift )

Hey! Yeah I'm here...been a bit occupied last few days. It is indeed a Damiler Conquest.  A friend sent me this image when he had seen this car. As per google the car was produced between 1953 and 1958. Since the Sri number system was initiated in 1956 and the EL was the punultimate series (the last one was EN) I'm guessing this particular car was probably imported brand new.

My Morris Minor is EL1421 and was registered in the 2nd quarter of 1953.
