Spot on! A slightly less popular model compared to it's predecessor in Sri Lanka, despite having a relatively modernish look for the era it came out in. I think most of them were imported B/new. As  a kid used to love the wagon version of it - mainly due to the diagonally striped rear light.

Would be the last generation of Vista - the V50 series.  Haven't seen many V50's locally a few V40's - the most common being the V30 : to me one of the best looking cars of that era . Still have deep down desire to own a CV30 Vista : Had a CV30 camry for a few months that thing pulls like a train . Scarcity of parts, and the fact most have been badly abused by now has kept me away from it.

There are a few around, there is one at the office next door and in purple too.... wont miss that as I am not fan of the looks of it.

Nope, again no. Maybe the below picture will give you a clue as to why I said it looks like a whale. One more clue it was manufactured for European countries and was rebadged as a European brand as well (cant remember if it was the other way round), being Sri Lankan our guys imported the one from the well known brand.
