If you are in Hambantota, Hambantota rest house serves some pretty good food. You can have your food outside overlooking the small fishery harbour. Not cheap though.

Mango Mango in Dambulla, probably the best place you could find to eat in peace in hot Dambulla town. Restaurant is very clean and food is good, but it lacks Sri lankan spicyness as the foreigners frequent the places a lot than the locals. Portion sizes are a bit small for my liking but still an excellent place. Parking is a bit tricky at times though.

From Colombo to Anuradhapura (via Narammala)

If you are travelling early morning this is an excellent stop for breakfast on the way to Anuradhapura.

They open around 6.30am and has a surprisingly large buffet for a small restaurant. Great service and value for money and doesn't use MSG.

Guys which road should I take to Nuwaraeliya, if I want to make a stop at the MACKWOODS Tea place? or does both the ginigathhena and the kandy road passes mackwoods on the way to nuwaraeliya?

You should take the route via Kegalle, Peradeniya and Gampola if you want to make a stop at Mackwoods which is at Ramboda.

Ginigathhena route is via Hatton and you won't meet Mackwoods.

Maruthi restaurant couple of km before Chenkaladi towards batti. Super cheap and tasty vegetarian meals.
