Hi all,

My oil light flickers on when I idle, but only when I idle in drive. When I accelerate it never flickering. Only in the idle time and when brakes only. Can anybody give me a solution.

Two things can happen - either your oil pressure is low at idle RPMs or your oil pressure sensor is faulty. Most likely it is the latter. Just check if you have signs of an oil leak near the sensor. If so change the sensor straightaway.

Does the engine idle properly at 800 RPM? If yes, then it's probably a faulty oil pressure switch or low oil pressure as Rumesh has mentioned. What's the mileage of the car?

hmmm.. I had the same issue in my LANCER.. when i went to garage, my baas said it's the switch.. so he replaced it with a genuine JAP switch which cost me 1000 rupees including his charges..
