Question

Dear Member

My Ek3 98 got Drum breaks for rear wheels and i can feel when i apply breaks the left rear wheel will get locked and right wheel will not. is this mean left side is good and Right side is bad or abnormal break on left side.

The pads are still 50% ok and no oil leaks on wheel cylinders. please let me have your opinions

The brakes are self adjusting. A possibility is that the adjusting mechanism on one side is faulty. An inspection inside the drums will tell you.

Didn't you have a brake issue on your car recently and get it sorted?

This is why drums have been replaced with disks.

with your case, I'd get  the rear brakes overhauled soon. After all, it is your brakes

This is what you could do go a garage the guy you visit very often and tell him that the car skids when applied and let him drive and inspect which side needs attention. The usuall way of doing this kinda thing is jack up the vehicle and adjust the groove as required ✌✌

I did earlier and most of the cases the garage people change items here and there and not rectifying the issue correctly. So i'm trying to figure out this issue and solve the matter
