Previous ownership list and absolute ownership are different things. Absolute ownership field is only relevant when you have obtained a lease/loan (mortgage) for the vehicle. when there is a mortgage, you have the ownership subject to completing the payments to the institute from which you have obtained a lease/loan from. If you buy a vehicle paying the full amount upfront, i.e. no lease or no loan, then there is no absolute ownership, that field will be left blank in those instances. In instances where there is an absolute owner, the name of the absolute owner can be deleted from the CR when you have finished paying the lease/loan as they have not right for the vehicle after the mortgage has been paid off. If there is a leasing company in the list of previous owners, that's a different case. That could be instances where that leasing company has bought that vehicle for their use or could be a condemned vehicle which they have transferred to their name from the owner. Previous ownerships cannot be deleted/ reduced. They only gets added up at every transfer.

Assuming you're referring to removing "Absolute Ownership" name from the CR, 1. Get a letter from the leasing company confirming that the lease has been ended and that they have no objection in deleting the absolute ownership from the CR of the vehicle (commonly known as the "deletion letter"). 2. Submit that letter along with the MTA 6 form when putting the CR for transfer at RMV. There will be an additional charge for deleting the absolute ownership. You can do both the deletion and transfer at the same.

very unfortunate incident. there were photos of someone using a fire extinguisher at the beginning of the fire as well, may be that didn't work out well. looking at where the fire started, could it be the fuel lines that caused the fire?

I put two ferentino replacing the rear wheels of my vitz (175/70/r14). However, I didn't have much of a choice either. it was either chinese or ferentino so I went with ferentino with the idea that at least i'm helping a local business 😅 as the wheels are put in the rear there is no significant comfort or noise variations that I can determine. I have had them now for about 5000-7000 kms. so far I didn't face any problematic situations like tyre explosions, side wall bulging/protruding issues with highway and general motorways use. So I guess they're a better option rather than going for chinese brands which are priced in the same price level.

We have a cr27 at home. like irage said, its a very old vehicle at this point and its almost a gamble buying a lotto van as there soooo many components that would have worn out or need attention, time, garage costs, parts and many others. we have replaced almost all the things except for the engine and manual gearbox. our one is mechanically sound and in very good conditions thanks to timely repairs and maintenance being done after it has run over 450,000kms. can take up to speeds above 100kmph and would drive hundreds of kms non-stop due to timely maintenance. Power steering - repaired radiator - repaired/replaced suspension bushes - replaced several times paint - once and now its time to paint again as clear coat has almost thinned out after polishing AC - works but seems like there's another leak which needs attention You will need to get used to live with rattle sounds, plastic bits creaking, interior parts going brittle and not to mention rust as the vehicles are very old. Also, ours doesn't have ABS so I don't prefer to drive the van as ABS has saved my from many crashes. But its a very practical vehicle as opposed to my Vits 130 which gets bottomed out in outstation areas. As someone who is moving from a Viva elite, you would have to get used to these things as newer cars has less rattling and noise issues. Also, the noice, the engine at this point is very noisy. When I drive it in the highway at 100kmph you cant even hear music properly from the speakers due to sound of the engine which roars like a ship engine. It does very good on fuel though. We go to hasalaka and back to cmb with just Rs. 4000 diesel so that's a plus point. Only good things of the cr27 is that it can carry 7-8 persons and has high ground clearance so can take it to places where the car cannot. I wouldn't actually recommend it as daily driver vehicle. Driving it is very difficult and driving my Vitz feels like playing a video game compared to the harsh driving experience of the cr27. Also, if safety is one of your concerns, cr27 doesn't fit in either.

have you replaced your CVT fluid at the correct interval? best option would be to start from there if you have not already done a fluid change.

ODO needs to be corrected as the new panel shows the mileage it had when it was removed from its original fitted vehicle. I decided to live with it as I don't know any capable mechanic who can change Odometer reading. Don't want to take the risk of frying the circuits trying to correct mileage.

Yes direct fit. Just plug and play. Even the one with LED display panel and digital fuel gauge is plug and play unit. A CAN bus standard is maintained throughout all models so most of meter panels that fit in the model series are direct fit.

Got the meter cluster upgraded to the Vitz RS version's on my KSP130. Looks and feels much better with a tachometer.

All of the guys here may have gone through these kind of situations and we all know how issues like this can make someone unable to sleep at night and disturb mental peace to work during the day. On the plus side all these strangers who you have only talked on an online forum are giving their experience and knowledge to help you get through this barrier so look at the big picture and start sorting out things one by one. Don't panic and listen to the experts. on a side note, prices quoted by agents are high mark up prices. my boss had a Vezel and he was once quoted above 300,000 for a windscreen which he could purchase for around 100,000 from outside. Also, once he was asked to replace some cooling fans stating that they were malfunctioned and was quoted a significant amount (cant remember exact amount). but after taking a second look at an outside garage (hybrid h*b), they just fixed a fan motor for fraction of the price quoted by the agent. So don't loose your cool due high prices quoted by the agent.

engine oil leaks and power steering failure are not huge issues but given its mileage is 20,000km my bet is that the odometer is tampered with. you could either ask her to fix the issues before buying or get a quotation to fix the issues from a garage and ask the owner to discount that amount from the sale value. not sure if unimo is doing valuations but there are many vehicles valuers who would visit the place where the car is located and do the valuation. make sure you are doing the valuation from a place that is accepted by the Bank you're taking the loan/lease facility from. cannot comment on the prices as SL car market is highly volatile. I'd seen axias advertised around 2.5 mil sometime back but the times may have changes now as reconditioned vitz's are being advertised above 5 mil nowadays.

Yes bought the harness from motorcade itself. Power given to the horns directly from the battery through the relay via a fused power line. So yes a wire is drawn from the battery to the relay. Photos will not show anything bro after doing the wiring and fixing it has been covered is in black insulated wire protectors and tightened with electrical tape. Even if the bonnet is opened there is nothing to see as everything is covered, insulated and attached to the original wiring paths. As I can remember there is only one wire coming to the factory fitted horn. I don't have knowledge with these electrical stuff thats why I got it done through an electrician. I can guide you to him if you want to. He is based in Pannipitiya.

I have done this in my Vitz. When I bought the Hella horns from Motorc@de I also bought a wire harness that is used to convert single horn set up to double horn step (cost about Rs. 400). The harness comes from the factory so its pretty neat where there are wire splits and joints so there is no need to twist/ solder wires. Then I went to an electrician known to me. What he did was put a new relay, give power to the horns directly from the battery (with a fused power line) and used the factory horn switch line as the trigger.
