Nah...the ones I have seen. Definitely not. True, they are cheap. But they are cheap metal boxes and should be cheaper. Cheap does not necessarily mean "worth the money". 
If you take cars like the Premio, etc...they were over-priced, but people bought them because those cars would more or less last a few decades easily (which affects depreciation and the number of owners who bare it). Comparatively, BYDs and the likes of may seem the same, however you have to wonder if they will actually last as long as the Premios. The BYDs I ahve seen in Singapore since 2021/2022 simply have not aged that well compared to the Corolla Altis and even the Kias and the Hyundais.
