Air Is Going Out Quickly From A Front Tire

Shanjeev

Question

Hi guys,

The air in a front tire is going out quickly where the others stay for long. As I checked it in a Tyre shop there weren't any patches. I have to go thrice a week to fill that Tyre. Need your advice!!

Thanks

Your tyres might not be seated properly against the rim.First remove the wheel from the car(with the tyre attached)and give the tyre(not the rim) a few good thuds with a blunt flat object,a rubber hammer is perfect for the job.If it still persists try swapping tyres with another wheel. If it still looses pressure then the rim itself must be bent or damaged.go see a wheel repair place, there are a fair few who repair alloys in Colombo. All this is assuming that your tyre shop gave it a thorough going over and made sure that it is not the tyre or the valve that is the culprit.

Will Car Care near Savoy repair this?

A sad state when a guy can't figure out how to solve a deflating tyre...

No wonder we have so many people being ripped off by con-mechanics and salesmen selling them cars based on X grades and SE seloon and what not..

some cheaper tyre brands are notorious for not sealing well with rims. Have see first hand a ceat branded tyre for a mini van not sealing and leaking. The tyre shop chap said it's unfortunately pretty common for the said brand. especially their smaller tyres. The truck, bus tyres seems to be ok.

My one is a Dunlop. Is there a problem with the rim?
