Checked with kleen Pa.... But they dont have it any more. Having two linear dents on my car, and don,t want to lose the original paint.

Kleen Park invested money on this project got one person trained in India.

They found this service is not paying in S/L. They discontinued the service have all equipment with them

I don’t think anyone is doing this service in S/L at the moment. Because S/L Motorists expect even a used vehicle to be like new.

Paint less dent repair is not 100% perfect still there can be a very little dent on the body

When object strike on the body of a vehicle. For the impact there can be a very slight stretch on the body metal sheet.

This cannot be shrunk to original metal sheet form. From the paint less body repair.

This place has to be filled with body filler paste and repaint same. Small dents motorists want to be perfect.

It is like a wound on our body, there will be scar after the wound get healed. By doing paint less body repair also same.

I know it's not 100% perfect way to repair. but it will spare the original paint. and overall a lot of money. do you have any idea where the trained person is working????

Any specific places which does paintless dent removal? All the previous places which had this service seems to have discontinued such. Also when I called one place they said that most likely that I would have to paint the panel. Still if that was the case it would not be paintless dent removal anymore. Dude the simple reason they dont do it is its not very successful. It's always trial and error. The dent may come out, it may not. It may end up doing more harm to the panel than good.

Please inform what make is your car where this dent is. Few days back there was another member wanted this same repair done on a Peugeot.

I remember contacting Car Mart Ratmalana Branch Engineer who is in charge doing this repair, he told me to get that person to contact him.

Can you up load any pictures of your dent? Then other members will give their ideas of the repair is satisfactory or not.

If you want I can give his contact number this morning later, he will assist you in best ways. Because I am replying to your post from my bedside comp.

Below is not relevant to your topic. But this must be posted for other members to know.

The person, who invested, inaugurated this method in Sri Lanka. Did stop after few repairs, due to customers were not satisfied for final result. Most Sri Lankans want like new. They expect used car also to be in new condition. There are lot of new methods to repair most repairs DIY and repair in workshops can do in motor industry. At your home.

The Pro-Cut lathe works on the vehicle, by attaching itself directly to the hub. Brake calipers and pads not necessary to remove. Less than 10 minutes. Disk Oval is taken off. All 4 wheels in 1 hour. I do not know this machine is available in Sri Lanka.

Unfortunately in Sri Lanka still motorists are reluctant to pay the cost of those methods, what an entrepreneur even start.They asses the cost like good old days, bases did with chisel and a hammer. Go from one place to another.

Thank You, Mr. Sylvi for the insight and information. I will contact Mr.Abeysekara ASAP.The vehicle is a Nissan March Ak12. I will attach two images later. These are very minor dents and it is not worth adopting the traditional method and making a big issue out of it. One which is underneath the left front door handle and one on the dicky door.

To my knowledge the rear one can be done satisfactory.

The door dent is a bit of a difficult one to do because it is a dent by a sharp edge striking on to that point.

Therefore the sticking point will be seen later. .

Hello, My name is Rohan Jayalath who work in gulf currently as a paintless dent repair technician. Sometime I search for companies in our country that provide paintless dent repair service. whenever I search I get in to this page and this thing hurts me a little bit. so, i thought to add something here and tell something more about paintless dent repair. I am not writing this things to promote myself here but I do love to share some of facts about paintless dent repair industry. 

paintless dent repair, firstly, started from merceleds benz and BMW plants in Germany when they got a dent on a car while it is on the production line. That is the beginning of this tiny industry. And still every vehicle plant has their own paintless dent repair technicians.

Such as in America , Europe  and Russian countries's motorist first choice is paintless dent repair when they got a accident. specially when they got hail damages there are no other choices. can you imagine a bonnet or roof with a full of cataloy paste or putty with traditional body repair methods ?

When you use paintless dent repair methods to fix dent you have so many advantages

1. faster ( most of the repair only takes few hours ) so, no more rent a cars

2. no color matching problems or  no any other paint related problems

3.resale value and many more advantages.

original manufacture paint is the best . There are no argument about it because the used to spray cars with proper conditions by using proper materials. you will ever never get a same refinish wherever you go.

Secondly, paintless dent repair is like an art. Quality of the repair totally depend on the technician according to his experience and skill. Of course , if the sheet metal has been stretched it is not possible to repair with paintless dent repair system. But if not damage paint by a small accident , most of the time ,metal is not stretched. we can repair  with paintless dent repair system. And I would like to tell you here, as an auto painter for 12 years , In my career , I have not seen a 100 percent refinish jobs.

Thirdly, I did work in Kleenpark when they introduce paintless dent repair system. They brought tools and gave it to normal panel beaters (tinkers) to fix dent on customers cars. it was a disaster because paintless dent repair does not work that way. It takes a lot of practices and experience to fix even a small dent.it has a its own science.it is like a plastic surgery. trust me. It is tough. BUT it doest not mean Paintless dent repair system doest not work. 

in addition to this,once PDR technician look the damage, he can tell the customer is it possible or not with paintless dent repair system. so, there is no trail and errors.Those damages on this March can be done with paintless dent repair system nicely. There is no  trouble at all.

finally,I prepare this video myself to show that paintless repair is successful.

Hi Rohan, Thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts. Agree with you on the points I've made bold above in your post. I have seen many local paint shops use sophisticated paintless dent repair equipment, but the personnel who handle the equipment are regular tinkerers or painters. This obviously leads to the job not being perfect. As you said, this is definitely a different avenue of body repairing and proper training and experience is a must to handle real life scenarios. 

With this thread being nearly three years old, I hope the situation has changed and I hope members who are aware of places that carry out professional paintless dent repair, will share information about them.

@Rohan. Thank  you for sharing your valued experience. However, PDR wouldn't work here in Sri Lanka in the same manner for the simple reason the expertise needed would be too expensive. Perhaps it could work for high end vehicles but the proportion of such vehicles here is small compared to that in the Middle East. Hence perhaps the use of panel beaters to do the job. Just think of what you should charge to do the same job here on a ordinary Toyota!

@kavvz . Thank you.  Yes we do a lot of impressive works over here. Everyday high end  car. Enjoy doing it. But in reality, sri lanka one land cruiser price and here Bentley gt price is the same.?????                                              

@rumesh88 thank you too  for your kind words. Of course it will not be able to charge same as here in gulf in sri lanka.  But  in sri lanka, even for a proper paint job it takes lot of money as materials are way expensive.  Charging for pdr won't be a problem.  Of course it has to be fair
