Hey!

There’s been a couple of posts asking members how efficient various vehicles are on fuel. And with the prices going up by Rs.8/= and with news in the air that it will go up again by another Rs.3/= soon, its getting even more important…

So what do you say we post the following details

yes but the one he has mentioned isnt a NZT260( 2nd gen.) he has mentioned a NZT240(1st gen.)

Not clear what you are trying to highlight mate.You get NZT240 engined second gen versions. Only difference is between ECT and CVT.

bro! NZT240 is a chassis number not an engine. What i'm trying to say is that he has mentioned two first generation Allions but with different fuel figures

He means the 2nd generation of the 240, call it a face lift if you will. I believe they were released around 2006 2004 and continued till early/mid 2007, and they have LED taillights and projector headlights as standard and not retrofitted, as quite a few are nowadays, and optional projector headlights. And you confused him, I think he meant the 1NZ-FE.

Edit: Had to call up a mate who owns one such Allion to verify the data.

I did know about the face-lift version,its this

and theres a face-lift version in NZT260 as well, it came out in July 2010 which has a different engine from the one found in the pre-facelift NZT260.

by the way i dint know that 'miniace' was referring to the face lift model

I though you were talking about the NZT260 because you said 'second generation'. the Allion that came out in 2004 is just a face-lift first generation NZT240. Yeah CVT improves fuel efficiency and i guess it improves acceleration as well

but i still have a doubt whether those facelift NZT240's came with CVT because i haven't seen '2' in the gear panel in any other vehicle that has CVT

Yes everyday I used to come office during traffic hours it is doing ~14 and when I am going home again it is doing ~18

Changing gears below 2000, (below 2500 for sure)

Highway at 3000rpm (100kmph)

Hay I don't know much about Bluebird but as I have heard Nissan cars are very inefficient on fuel consumption isn't it?

Just meant the cheapest Petrol & not the higher octane rated stuff.

im not worried about other Nissan cars, mine does fine and i'm happy with it

Could Mitsubishi worse than Nissan on fuel? I got blasted from my relations when I bought my Lancer for not going for a commont type as Corolla or Sunny.

* Euro 3 gives pretty much the same figures. Maybe slightly less in the city.
