@schiffer,Yup thats him,capeta was most about open wheel racing loved it but only one season :(

glad to hear u loved initial d,but nxt year they will release the final stage ...and that will be the end of it no more initial D :(

The Car of the Year is...The Toyota GT86!
It beat the mighty Aventador and a F1 championship wining car in a landslide victory.Once again proving that cheap light weight rear wheel drive sports cars will always have a special place in out hearts.I'd like to invite our serial Toyota sports car hoarding nut case Mr.Supra Natural to accept this award on behalf of the whole Toyota community.

The Newbie of the Year is....Rumesh88!
Congrats to Rumesh who seems to have a good head on his shoulders and always has very sound advice to give our fellow members.A truly worthy victor.And to the other newbies who were nominated.I say weldone and continue the good work.Sampath Gunsekera hand over your newbie title to Rumesh with immediate effect.

Aaaannnnnnddd The Topic of the Year is...1968 Datsun 510 Sedan (Project Datto) by Komisiripala
The doc missed out on the title with Project R last time but emerges champion in 2013 with the Datto.Congrats to Komi and the car's owner Mrs.Komi for carrying out this amazing restoration project and sharing the experience with all of us.I think as much as the car itself Komi's enthusiasm and humour too has so much to do with that thread's immense popularity.And to all members keep all those interesting discussions,DIY and restoration projects rolling in next year too.

The winners please post your acceptance speeches here and don't forget thank me.

For the 5th year in a row I won the Autolanka sexy beast of the year but I had to hand over the crown pre maturely cos I was involved in an unfortunate sex scandal with honourable moderator The Don...await the sex tape to hit the internets in the coming weeks.

So that's it!MD is going for a little holiday ,but fear not, the insanity will resume next year! tada!

There's a lot more to in the datto. Looks like it'll be a contender for the 2014 awards as well.

As long as I'm alive there'll be a car getting buggered in a good way, and as MD and my wife (same difference) points out there“ll also be a mechanic building a four story mansion with a pool and jacuzzi... Buying iPads for his kids... FML

Congratulations Komi on the win! If I remember right, my first post at AL was on your Teg build and you followed up with the 510 which is challenging the teg's awesomeness! I guess this means you owe me a Fanta when we meet :D

And Congratulations to Rumesh! I so wanted quote Brian O'Connor here and say "dude I almost had you" but I see that you left me and everyone else eating dust :D Nevertheless, a worhty victor by far with very informative and helpful information shared with every post.

And I guess this is good a place as any to say a big "thank you" to the mods and everyone else who have provided this platform. The few months I've been here I've had the pleasure of getting to know some awesome people and make new friends. Reminds me that the better part of being a car guy is the people involved. Happy motoring everyone. May you and your cars have a great 2014!
