Ah okay thanks then il say no to this car as well :)

Dude all jokes aside.Do not reject a car just because it has high mileage(according to your standards).Few of us here have vehicles that have done more than 350000kms that are running as reliably as any car .You got to look at the car as a whole and then make a decision. As kavvz so rightly pointed out good luck finding a 15 year old car with less than 200k on the odo.

Hi...one more question... Say that Im gonna change the color..In order to update the book, should I take the vehicle to the RMV and then to verahara AFTER changing the color or should I take it to them BEFORE changing the color?

considering plan B i see ;)

Guys I have few more questions... But I dont know if I should ask cuz im afraid I might annoy people here :( what should I do?

You seem to dig up threads at random and go to town on modifications, implications and whatever pops up on your mind. And all for a car you have not yet bought. Either open a single thread and ask for help looking for a car for you to buy and any subsequent issues you may face with YOUR car. Or, try and find a car first and then open a thread to address any modifications, fixes you want to do.

There are several threads like those on the forum if you have a look around. OP asks opinion on a car>forum replies>buys the damn thing>OP asks about issues and how to fix them>forum helps>OP fixes the car

Ok this time my prob is..there was a refina with the windscreen a lil bit cracked... My friend told me not to replace the windscreen cuz it may cause leaks and it wont fit here just like how it was like the factory default fitting and told me to keep it as it is...what do you guys say? Is this true? In that case one day when i sell it, it will be a bigg issues since its cracked... Please advice, is it true what my friend is saying?:(

Your friend is talking out of his ass. A proper windscreen replacement shop (like Samarasinghe) will do a job that is basically indistinguishable from the factory fit. (possibly even better because of improvements in sealing technology over the years). So if that's the only issue with the car, go ahead and buy it.

if you do a proper job using a quality Silicon gum it want be an issue

Actually, you do not need to use any silicone sealant if you do it properly. The specialist windscreen bonding compound, when laid on a properly prepared surface will provide all the bonding and sealing you need. In fact I'll feel suspicious if they have used other compounds to fill up the gaps because thats indicative of a shoddy job. You need to keep the path ways which water runs down clear.

Hi :) I narrowed down few requirements... I wouldnt mind buying an AUTO now :) checked over 10 preseas and found 2 manual white ones too but they were bad in condition.. So thought of narrowing down the requirements... I dont mind the colour much either if its in good condition with english numbers, white would be better though... Appreciate if you could let me know if you find an auto white one :)

Hi guys.. so I bought the presea I dreamt of Yesterday... :) had to wait one week after advancing the previous owner, which was the hardest week to wait ;) its a "Refina F", 1998 model - 2001 registered manual 1500cc... Not white colour but I fell in love with the colour so much and I believe it looks classier than the white so not going to do any colour changes and neither do any modifications cuz the previous owner has not modified this at all so i like to keep it original as it is.... I owe an immense debt of gratitude to you guys for guiding me throughout this search and giving me the proper advises and without you guys I wouldnt have found this presea with good condition... And thanks a lot for tolerating my ignorant queries and my 'seems like stupid' statements :P Thank you soo much... If you see me in the road feel free to wave at me ;) here we go, the much awaited pictures :)

Congrats! The car seems to be in decent shape. Good call on not changing the colour. Hope you have many good memories with her.

Get the headlights polished and the lights on the front bumper cleaned up.

I'm pretty sure that the discolouration is on the outside. Don't take the headlight apart yet. Refer the threads below and try cleaning them more thoroughly on the outside.

I'm happy for you mate. Congratz on finding the dream girl (sort of :-D )

Thank you NRX :D

Well actually this was more than I dreamt of... This colour looks better on a presea than white and im glad i found this.. wasnt expecting a presea is such good condition, but the interior blow off my mind with beauty... and since this is a Refina -F I think this is far more than I dreamt... ya"ll played a big role for to make this dream come true, so ya"ll are a part of it too :)

I gad the exact comment Davy had (keeping the colour and the headlight cleaning). Looks like the wait paid off eh?

PS: if you don't mind me asking, is there a reason the owner delayed the sale from taking an advance to closing the deal?
